Maldives State Shipping (MSS) has announced the opportunity to apply for scholarships in maritime studies.
MSS stated it is offering three fully funded scholarships for courses in navigation officer cadet training, engineer officer cadet training, and reefer technician training. The courses have a duration of 12-36 months and MSS will provide employment opportunities upon successful completion of two of the courses, with an expected monthly income of USD 3,000.
Interested individuals are required to submit their applications before February 27, 1400hrs. The chosen applicants will receive the opportunity to participate in the courses at an approved training institute overseas.
MSS is a shipping and logistics company owned by State Trading Organisation (STO), offering an extensive international liner shipping service. The company has stated it is working to expand its fleet as well as develop its human resources by providing more employment and career opportunities.
