Minister of Home Affairs Imran Abdulla has been summoned to the Parliamentary Committee on National Security Services for questioning as part of the May 6 terrorist attack against Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed.
The parliament committee has been summoning senior officials of relevant state institutions to the inquiry on the security breaches that led to the May 6 attack. Home Minister Imran is the second minister to be summoned to the committee for questioning, following Minister of National Planning, Housing and Infrastructure Mohamed Aslam.
The committee has stated it will leave no stones unturned in the inquiry into the May 6 attack against Speaker Nasheed. Chair of the committee, Parliamentarian Mohamed Aslam said the government has been fully cooperating with the inquiry and that there is not outside influence into the inquiry.
