President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a congratulatory message to Seychelles' new President-elect Wavel Ramkalawan, following his victory in the country's general elections.
In his message, President Solih congratulated the Seychelles’ President-elect and the Linyon Demokratik Seselwa (LDS) for its victory in the country’s parliamentary elections. The president stated as a Small Island State in the Indian Ocean, the Seychelles and the Maldives share many common concerns and priorities, especially in the spheres of maritime safety, disaster resilience and climate change. He added the two countries have continued to constructively engage on these issues and voice them to the broader international community. He expressed confidence that the excellent level of cooperation between the two governments will continue under the new leadership.
President Solih concluded his message wishing President-elect Ramkalawan and the people of Seychelles happiness, good fortune and prosperity.
