President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his deepest condolences to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto following a powerful earthquake that struck off the island of Flores, killing and injuring people.
In a message to President Prabowo, President Dr Muizzu extended condolences on behalf of the Maldivian government and people to the Indonesian president, government and people, and expressed sympathy to families who lost loved ones.
The president also expressed solidarity with those affected by the disaster, including families displaced by the earthquake.
He commended the efforts of rescue and emergency personnel responding to the disaster and conveyed his thoughts and prayers to the people of Indonesia during the period of mourning.
