Veligandu Island Resort and Spa has received the award for Best Beach in the World at the World Championship of Beaches.
The competition was hosted by American travel agency Kiwi.com on Instagram and was open for public voting. Veligandu resort's beach was voted the winner in the finals with 51% of the votes against Anse Cocos, a beach in Seychelles. Kiwi.com stated it received numerous votes in the final and that it will be publishing a full report on its website.
Veligandu Island Resort and Spa is a renowned 91-room facility island resort and part of a collection of resorts owned by Crown and Champa Resorts (CCR).
