President appoints member to Tax Appeal Tribunal

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has appointed Khadeeja Naeem as a Legal Member of the Tax Appeal Tribunal.

Khadeeja Naeem earned her Master of Laws (LLM) in Business Law from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU). She had previously served as the legal officer at the Maldives Broadcasting Commission, Deputy State Attorney at the Attorney General’s Office, and other senior posts at the Elections Commission of the Maldives (ECM). She also served as a lecturer at the Faculty of Sharia and Law of the Maldives National University (MNU).

The Tax Appeal Tribunal is tasked with the responsibility of adjudicating all matters related to the Tax Administration Act or any other taxation laws.
