Parliament votes to appoint Mohamed Fazeen to BroadCom

Parliament of the Maldives has approved Mohamed Fazeen to be appointed to the vacant membership position at Maldives Broadcasting Commission (BroadCom).

Fazeen was one of the two names shortlisted by the Parliamentary Committee on Independent Institutions, following the review of all 11 applicants nominated by the President. As the first name on the shortlist in priority order, he was the first to be called for a vote in the parliament floor and was approved with votes from 55 parliamentarians.

Fazeen is currently working as a journalist at RaajjeTV.
