JSC appoints judges to Criminal Court and Civil Court

Judicial Services Commission (JSC) has appointed new judges to Criminal Court and Civil Court of Maldives.

One judge has been appointed to the Criminal Court, while four judges have been appointed to the Civil Court, according to JSC. Adam Mohamed was appointed to the Criminal Court, while Ahmed Abdul Matheen, Fayyaz Shathir, Aishath Azfa Abdul Ghafoor and Rizmeena were appointed to the Civil Court.

JSC also appointed chief magistrates to Magistrate Courts in Guraidhoo, Kaafu Atoll and Hirilandhoo, Thaa Atoll. Fathuhulla Jameel Moosa was appointed as the Chief Magistrate of Guraidhoo Magistrate Court, while Abdulla Hussain was appointed as the Chief Magistrate of Hirilandhoo Magistrate Court.

JSC opened application for judges at superior courts in November.
