W&A Overseas to build multipurpose halls in two schools

Ministry of Education has contracted Wellness and Able Overseas Maldives to construct multipurpose halls in two schools.

Under the Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP), Wellness and Able Overseas Maldives will construct multipurpose halls in Isdhoo School in Laamu Atoll and Mohamed Jamaluddin School in Fuvahmulah City.

The project to construct the hall in Isdhoo School, which costs over USD 129,000 was contracted to be completed in 7 months. The cost of the multipurpose hall in Mohamed Jamaluddin School is worth over USD 450,000 and is contracted to be completed in 7 months. These two-storey multipurpose halls will be equipped with toilets, changing rooms, store rooms and a control room.

Ministry of education plans to carry expansion projects in 37 schools across Maldives, with 18 projects already awarded. The contractors have begun 7 projects, while the remaining projects will begin the coming week, according to the ministry.

The ministry intends to award the remaining 19 projects before October 15.
