Opposition Parliamentarian Mohamed Saeed has stated people who cannot bring development have politically failed as development is directly connected to the emotions of the citizens. The former economic minister turned parliamentarian made the remarks speaking in an exclusive interview with PSM News.
In the programme, Parliamentarian Saeed stated the biggest achievement for a political figure is bringing necessary developments. Noting citizens are not interested in what politicians do but are interested about the decisions made, Saeed expressed the success of the past administration in terms of development. He noted there are numerous reasons for the defeat in presidential election held last September.
Furthermore, Saeed said the opposition coalition of Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People's National Alliance (PNC) will hold the administration accountable. However, he mentioned lack of opposition members in parliament is a challenge to hold the administration accountable.
