Maldives Embassy in Thailand advises to avoid crowded areas in Bangkok

Maldives Embassy in Thailand has advised the Maldivian citizens in Bangkok to stay indoors and to always keep the passport on hand if they go out. The advisory was made following several explosions in Bangkok which injured four people.

Security measures have been tightened by the Government of Thailand, according to Maldivian Embassy. The Thai Government has urged the public to be cautious and advised against panicking. Following the comments, Maldives Embassy in Thailand advised Maldivians in Bangkok to take extra precaution, to avoid crowded places and to carry passports.

A series of bombs blasts rocked Bangkok in several locations on Friday morning, as the city hosts a regional summit attended by world leaders.
