IGMH delays scheduled surgeries following technical issues

Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has delayed some surgeries scheduled following some technical issues to its operation theatre.

Speaking to PSM News, Head of Media at IGMH Mohamed Mufeed said the surgeries scheduled for the time were postponed due to a technical failure of the air condition in one of its theatres. Noting no surgeries will be performed in case of any failure of theatre, Mufeed said it is because the hospital does not want to risk anything when related to the life of patients.

The scheduled surgeries were delayed from 0830 hours to 1500 hours on Saturday. The surgeries were continued after solving the technical failure, according to the hospital.

Meanwhile, IGMH said the pictures and documents of an elderly person, who was discharged without proper medical care, circulated in social media are completely false. IGMH assured no such complaints were received by the management of the hospital.
