President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has revealed there is no space in the administration for individuals who prioritise personal propaganda rather than the agenda to serve the people. The president made the remarks at a celebratory gathering held by Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) late Saturday night, following the win in the parliamentary election.
During the gathering, President Solih commenced the remarks by thanking the citizens of the country. Commenting on the remarkably smooth election held by Elections Commission of Maldives (ECM), the president said Maldives have witnessed an election which has not been influenced by the government and conducted by a fully functioning electoral body.
Moreover, President Solih requested the journalists to hold the administration accountable at all times. He expressed it is the time for all citizens to work together, revealing readiness to successfully achieve the pledges.
President Solih said the decision made by the public on April 6 shows the public is standing by the decision made during the presidential election last September.
