Maldives signs prosecution agreement with Turkey

Prosecutor General of Maldives has signed with General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Turkey. The agreement was signed by the Prosecutor General of Maldives Aishath Bisam and Prosecutor General of Turkey Mehmet Akarca at a ceremony held at General Prosecution Office of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Turkey.
Under the agreement, Turkish Prosecution Office will assist Maldivian prosecution in cases related to terrorism, corruption, international criminal offences, human trafficking, drugs, economic and cyber crimes. Moreover, the two prosecution institutions agreed to exchange information and facilitate training programmes for employees under prosecution services.
During the visit to Turkey, Prosecutor General Bisam will hold meetings with the Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gül and the President of Supreme Court Zühtü Arslan.
