President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has sent a message of condolence to His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XV Sultan Muhammad V of Malaysia, following the demise of Sultan Tuanku Abdul Halim of Kedah.
In his message, the President said that he was deeply grieved to hear the news of passing away of Sultan Tuanku Abdul Halim. The President went on to state that the contributions of his majesty to the progress and prosperity of the Malaysia will be remembered.
President Yameen further extended heartfelt condolences to the majesty, the government and the brotherly people of Malaysia, on behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives, during the time of national grief and mourning.
