A Chinese company brings over 1,700 staff to Maldives for holiday

A Chinese company has brought over 1,700 of its staff to Maldives as part of its global tour, proving that the country is not only a world famous destination for honeymooners, families but also touring groups.

Renowned for its white sandy beach, azure lagoons and navy blue oceans with multicolored flora and fauna, Maldives, is a favorite destination among many countries. China is one of the top source markets, with ever increasing tourist arrivals to the country.

So it does not come as a surprise that a Chinese company decided to include Maldives in its global tour plan. Fuaibao Commerce and Trading Cooperation Limited, brought over 1,700 staff on an all-expense paid trip to the Maldives as part of it global tour 2017.

In an exclusive interview with PSM News, the Chairman of Fuaibao Xiabaoping revealed that the global tour aims to provide a platform of exposure of the company's products and to have a relaxing time with the staff of the company. In addition, the Chairman stated that Maldives is well known for its natural beauty but the Maldivian hospitality is also one of the highlights of each of his trips to Maldives. The staff of the company also expressed the excitement and joy of reaching Maldives as part of the tour.

The latest statistics of the tourism industry in the month of June has showed a 6.1% increase in the number of tourist's visits compared to that of last year. Tourist arrival has grossed over 650,000 in the first half of this year. The administration of President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Gayoom has a keen interest in the development of the tourism industry. Major changes has been brought to the airports and resorts of Maldives to attract more tourists, including the airport developmental projects and new resort developmental projects.
