Three major maritime accidents 12 hours: MNDF

Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) has revealed that in the past 12 hours, three major maritime accidents have been reported.

In an exclusive interview with PSM News, Information Officer of MNDF Ibrahim Azim revealed that these incidents include; a vessel grounding on the boat canal wall in Male South Harbor and a vessel, which experienced engine failure, being carried by currents to collide with Villigili harbor's outer quay wall. He further revealed that other incidents from were also been reported. The institution has advised caution in sea travel.

MNDF also has urged to travelers to be get the latest weather updates from the Maldives Meteorological Service and report any incidents at sea, to MNDF Coastguard toll free number 191.
