LOTİ hosts tourism promotion event backed by Visit Maldives in Moscow

The premium tour operator LOTİ hosted an exclusive private dinner for partners with the support of Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), celebrating slow travel and island luxury in the Maldives.

The event was held in Moscow, Russia on the June 24.

The event was designed to immerse guests in the atmosphere of the archipelago, where luxury was presented not only through service, but through a sense of harmony, tranquility and presence. For the occasion, Assunta Madre restaurant created a bespoke culinary set inspired by the nature and spirit of the Maldives, featuring seafood, fresh fish and contemporary gastronomic combinations. Executive Chef Catello Sansone introduced each course, explaining the origins of ingredients and the philosophy behind the pairings.

Live jazz music accompanied each course, turning the dinner into a multi-sensory experience combining gastronomy, music, aesthetics and travel.

During the evening, LOTİ commented on the Maldives’ transformation from a little-known group of fishing islands fifty years ago into a leading luxury destination, crediting long-term tourism development strategy and the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Maldives and the hospitality sector.

The company also reported strong demand for the Maldives on board the Lujo BlackJet business-liner, with demand for the 2025–2026 season more than tripling compared with the previous year. Occupancy reached 98%, with over 6,400 seats sold, 1.8 times higher than the previous season. New Year flights operated daily and recorded a load factor of 110%.

LOTİ also highlighted the introduction of guaranteed villas at leading Maldivian resorts, while early figures for winter 2026–2027 show occupancy already exceeding 20%, indicating continued strong demand for the destination.

The company said the event reflected its philosophy that memorable journeys begin long before travel, driven by emotion, inspiration and anticipation.
