MP Mahloof sentenced to 6 months in prison

The Criminal Court on Monday sentenced South-Galolhu MP Ahmed Mahloof to 6 months in prison for obstructing police duty.

The court earlier sentenced the lawmaker for 4 month 24-day imprisonment for a similar charge.

The court said witness testimonies proved that the lawmaker was guilty of obstructing police duty.

The charges said MP Mahloof obstructed police duty by entering a cordoned off area during a rally on March 25, last year.
