Kinolhas Signs with BML to Install ATM

An agreement has been signed between the Bank of Maldives (BML) and the Kinolhas Island Council to install an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) on Kinolhas, Raa Atoll.

The agreement was signed during a community meeting with the residents of Kinolhas by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu as part of his ongoing tour of Raa Atoll.

BML’s Director of Retail and SME Banking, Badhruddeen Hassan signed the agreement on behalf of the bank, while the President of the Kinolhas Island Council Ahmed Hussain signed on behalf of the island.

Kinolhas becomes the sixth island in Raa Atoll to sign deals with BML to establish ATM service.

In November last year, BML announced an ambitious initiative to install ATMs in all inhabited islands by the end of 2025. This initiative aligns with the President's pledge to provide ATM services in all inhabited islands of the Maldives, ensuring that all Maldivians have access to banking services.

Currently, BML operates 150 ATMs across 90 islands. The bank aims to install ATMs in 17 additional islands by the end of March 2025.
