Pakistan donates USD10,000 to Dhivehi Bahuge Acadamy

The government of Pakistan has provided a donation of USD10,000 to the Dhivehi Bahuge Academy, the national language institute of the Maldives. The donation was presented to the Minister of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage Adam Naseer Ibrahim, by the High Commissioner of Pakistan Vice Admiral Mohamed Fayyaz Gilani, in a special ceremony held at the academy.

Speaking at the ceremony, High Commissioner Fayyaz emphasised the long-lasting strong bilateral ties between the Maldives and Pakistan, expressing the commitment of Pakistan to assist the Maldives in various ways, during the tenure of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The high commissioner highlighted the ongoing works and projects in the nation assisted by Pakistan, in many industries, including the environmental, infrastructural, educational and the sports industry. He stated that the donation presented was to assist the nation in the culture and heritage field, affirming willingness to strengthen the bilateral relations in this area.

During the ceremony, Minister Adam Naseer underscored the need of the donation to fulfil the goals of the academy. The minister expressed his sincere appreciation on behalf of the Maldives to Pakistan for the invaluable donation. He also expressed gratitude to the strong foreign policies adopted by President Dr. Muizzu to enhance bilateral relations.
