MMPRC partakes in Riyadh Travel Fair 2024

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has participated in the Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) 2024, held from May 27 to 29. The Visit Maldives campaign, led by MMPRC and supported by 17 participants from 9 companies, aimed to promote the Maldives as a premier destination in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. MMPRC’s involvement in the fair was focused on strengthening the Maldives' presence in the KSA market, increasing tourist arrivals, and promoting various tourism segments, particularly targeting affluent travelers in the Middle Eastern luxury market.

The Riyadh Travel Fair, convened in Saudi Arabia's capital, is a major annual event attracting leading travel and tourism companies from Saudi Arabia, the GCC, and internationally. The event serves as a market place for introducing tourist products, services, and investments from significant global tourist companies. It draws corporate travel decision-makers, investors, tour operators, travel agents representing VIP clients, and other industry professionals, providing a platform for exhibitors representing tourist promotion authorities and companies at both the Arab and international levels.

At RTF 2024, the Maldives stand, curated to showcase the diverse segments of the country's tourism industry, offered visitors a glimpse of the Sunny Side of Life. The vibrant stand featured luxury travel, family holidays, adventure holidays, and cultural experiences, including a Dhivehi Calligraphy Corner and Maldivian gastronomy experiences. Through events like a social media contest and special giveaways, the stand aimed to highlight the unique products and experiences available in the Maldives.

The event allowed MMPRC and industry partners to share travel tips and information, establish new business connections, and promote the Maldives as the World’s Leading Destination.

Saudi Arabia, currently ranked 21st in market arrivals to the Maldives, is a key target for MMPRC’s ongoing efforts, which include joint-marketing campaigns, webinars, participation in major fairs, and hosting roadshows and familiarisation trips.
