Medical courses to be transferred to MNU main campus temporarily

The Maldives National University (MNU) has announced the temporary relocation of its medical school from Indira Gandi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) to its main campus, underscoring that the students will continue to receive instruction at the developing campus situated in Hulhumale'. MNU temporarily established its medical school at Dharumavantha Hospital in the year 2018.

In a statement released, it was stated that the primary motivation behind the relocation is to enhance the services offered at Dharumavantha Hospital and to provide additional space, highlighting its convenience to the populace.

Furthermore, MNU emphasised that the relocation will be facilitated in such a way as to avoid disrupting the academic progress of the medical students or any services offered at the practical labs. It further informed that efforts are currently being made to transfer the resources to the university campus.

Additionally, MNU confirmed that the university will continue to provide its students with high-quality practical experiences, as previously offered at Dharumavantha Hospital, and that arrangements are made accordingly. It urged the public to refrain from disseminating false information regarding matters pertaining to the welfare of the populace.
