President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with members of the Maabaidhoo Island Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) at Dhan'bidhoo School to discuss the island's pressing concerns and vital needs.
During the meeting, the Council emphasized the urgency of finding immediate solutions for soil erosion and improving access to banking services. They also highlighted the need for a new building to accommodate the Laamu Atoll School and the Council administration office. Additionally, they requested the conversion of the island's health center into a 24-hour facility.
Furthermore, discussions focused on strategies to increase job opportunities for residents. Members of the WDC also raised the issue of increasing their provided allowances during the meeting.
