Kalaidhoo Council expresses concerns in stagnation of developmental projects

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has engaged with members of the Kalaidhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) at Kalaidhoo's Social Centre to discuss the residents' most pressing concerns.

During the discussion, Council members expressed worries about the stagnation of various developmental projects and the challenges stemming from delays in approving the land use plan. They also raised issues related to the Council's jurisdiction area, seeking a suitable resolution.

The Council highlighted the stagnant status of the island's main road development project and discussed desired modifications for the causeway project. Additionally, they emphasised the importance of developing a football ground, upgrading the Kalaidhoo Harbour, resolving waste management issues, and establishing a swimming area and a police post.

President Muizzu assured the council members that he would address the raised issues and provided updates on key matters through the attending Ministers.
