Israel military has destroyed a warehouse of the Maldives-based International Aid Campaign (IAC) in Gaza with an air strike.
The IAC stated that Israel directly targeted the warehouse, which was storing essential humanitarian supplies for Palestinians. The air strike destroyed 2,000 bedsheets and 1,000 food packages as well as 3,000 clothing packages. In addition, a vehicle used by IAC to transport goods was also damaged in the incident. No casualties were reported in the incident, however, some people sustained various injuries. IAC noted that relatively few items were lost as they have other warehouses.
The IAC is providing humanitarian assistance to Palestinians suffering from the violence carried out by the Israeli government. The organisation is also conducting various fundraising activities to provide essential items to the Palestinian people. As such, the IAC recently held a telethon with the Maldivian media to help Palestinians affected by the recent escalation of violence in Gaza. It has collected over USD454,000 from fundraising activities in the Maldives.
