China has expressed its commitment to continue its assistance for the development of the Maldives. The remark was made by Ambassador of China to the Maldives Wang Lixin during her meeting with President-elect Dr. Mohamed Muizzu.
During the meeting, President-elect Muizzu and Ambassador Lixin discussed further strengthening the bilateral relationship between China and the Maldives. The ambassador expressed confidence that both countries will further develop friendly relations during the administration of Muizzu and assured that China will provide full assistance and cooperation to the Maldives in various fields.
In his remarks, President-elect Muizzu thanked China for its assistance to national development and expressed hope that the Chinese government will continue to provide assistance for the new administration's efforts to fulfill its pledges.
