Umar pledges to abolish taxes for small businesses

Independent presidential candidate Umar Naseer has pledged to abolish taxes for small businesses.

At a campaign event in Villimale', Umar said if he were elected president he would steer the economy in a bold new direction. He emphasised his commitment to preventing the state from imposing financial burdens on the people and expressed his intent to eliminate taxes for small businesses.

Furthermore, Umar made additional pledges, including the development of a transshipment port, enhancing public safety, and addressing the presence of foreign troops in the country. He asserted his commitment to truthfulness and noted the strong support of many Maldivians for his proposed policies.
