AVWESCOM, DASA officers to take part in study tour in India

Aviation Security Command (AVSECOM) and the Directorate of Aviation Security Administration (DASA) reveal its officers are scheduled to leave for India on a study tour programme.

A special ceremony was held at Velana International Airport (VIA) to mark the occasion. The ceremony was attended by the High Commissioner of India to the Maldives Munu Mahawar.

During the ceremony, High Commissioner Mahawar expressed that India stands as the swiftest expanding nation in the realm of civil aviation. He highlighted that the study tour holds the potential to contribute to the advancement of the civil aviation industry in the Maldives. He also affirmed that similar opportunities would be extended in the future.

A total of 27 officers from AVESCOM and three officers from DASA will be participating in the programme. Those selected for the tour represent employees from all of the airports in the Maldives. They are scheduled to embark on an eight-day tour to gain insights into the functioning of aviation security in India.
