Maldives committed to enhancing relations with Korea

The Maldives has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering strong ties with Korea, aiming to bolster bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two nations. Ambassador of the Maldives to Korea, Hassan Sobir, emphasized this commitment following the presentation of his Letter of Credence to President Yoon Suk Yeol.

At the official ceremony, Ambassador Sobir conveyed warm greetings from President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and the people of the Maldives to President Yoon and the citizens of Korea. He expressed his eagerness to work closely with Korea during his tenure, with a renewed focus on advancing collaboration between the two countries on various fronts.

During his visit to Korea, Ambassador Sobir also engaged in discussions with senior government officials to explore opportunities for further cooperation. These meetings aimed to identify potential areas of collaboration and strengthen the relationship between the Maldives and Korea.
