Gov't contracts expansion of three schools

Ministry of Education has contracted three companies for the expansion of schools in Feydhoo in Shaviyani Atoll, Kudarilkilu in Baa Atoll, and Vilufushi in Thaa Atoll.

The project to construct eight classrooms and a multipurpose hall in Feydhoo School was contracted to Eco Investment Maldives Private Limited. The agreement was signed by General Manager at Eco Investment Maldives Hassan Rifan. The company has been tasked to complete the project within 400 days.

The project to construct four classrooms in Kudarilkilu School was contracted to Walsey Private Limited. The agreement was signed by the Managing Director of Walsey Afaf Saeed. The company has been tasked to complete the project within 175 days at a cost of USD314,500.

The project to construct four classrooms in Vilufushi School was contracted to Tic Tac Investment Private Limited. The agreement was signed by Chief Finance Officer at Tic Tac Investment Ismail Zahran Zubair. The company has been tasked to complete the project within 120 days at a cost of USD280,500.

All three agreements were signed by Policy Director of Education Ministry Naushad Ibrahim The ministry is funding these projects from the 2021-2022 Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP).
