The Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) has implemented a four-day workweek.
PGO said its employees will be working for four days a week from June 25 to August 4, and their performance will be closely monitored during the period. The PGO will cease the trial and revert to the regular five-day workweek if the experiment proves to be unsuccessful.
During the trial period, the PGO will continue to offer its services five days a week, but employees will only be required to be present for four days. They will have the flexibility to organize their schedules and choose their days off without disrupting their work commitments. However, they will still be expected to come to the office for court appearances or other necessary obligations. In cases where an employee takes leave or family responsibility leave, they will be required to work five days in the subsequent week.
The primary goal of the PGO is to ensure the well-being of its employees in terms of mental, spiritual, and physical health. The four-day workweek experiment is a step towards realising the vision and determining its viability for permanent implementation. The PGO has previously implemented a four-day workweek during the month of Ramadan.
