Youth Ministry to develop land for recreational activities in Hulhumale'

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment has signed an agreement with Urbanco for the development of a land plot purposed towards wellness and recreational activities. The agreement was signed by the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Ahmed Mahloof and by the Managing Director of Urbanco Ahmed Athif.

A land plot was allocated to the youth ministry from Hulhumale' Phase II under the agreement. The ministry was allocated 5.4 hectares of land for the development of various sports and recreational facilities.

Urbanco stated that facilitating youth-related sports and other recreational activities is a high priority as part of its efforts to develop Hulhumale' as an architecturally advanced smart city. The number of residents living in Hulhumale' Phase II has been increasing and the project will provide the opportunity to conduct many activities, according to the state-owned company.

Urbanco is also providing various sports facilities in Hulhumale' including the development of indoor and outdoor sports courts, skate parks, and water sports facilities. Urbanco has also developed parks for people of all ages to entertain and relax and children's playgrounds in various parts of Hulhumale'.
