Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has begun an investigation into a judge and magistrate over disciplinary issues.
JSC has formed a committee to investigate the Magistrate of Hithadhoo Magistrate Court Ziyada Thahir for acting irresponsibly in fulfilling her duties at the court and as a magistrate. She is accused of acting irresponsibly when holding court hearings.
A committee has also been formed to investigate Judge of the Civil Court Fayyaz Shathir for acting irresponsibly by extending a court case by one year without giving a sentence after concluding the hearings.
