Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has launched a full-scale emergency exercise at the boatyard in Thilafushi, Kaafu Atoll.
The exercise is aimed at further strengthening the security and emergency preparedness of the state-owned company. The MTCC boatyard will be evacuated and all employees will be evacuated to safer areas during the exercise.
MTCC boatyard is an operation in the Industrial Area area of Thilafushi. As such, MTCC also advised visitors to the island to beware of the smoke. MTCC urged the participants to close their doors and windows and cover their eyes, nose, and mouth if they are exposed to smoke during the exercise. The company also apologised in advance for any inconvenience caused to the public during the exercise.
