Ministry of Health has hired Heights Company Private Limited to build an extension building for the health centre in Kolhufushi, Meemu Atoll.
Heights Company is tasked with building the extension building within five months. The project will cost USD311,000.
The government has been establishing essential services in all inhabited islands. As part of the efforts, old health centres are being renovated and upgraded to solve space constraints. Projects have begun this year to upgrade 60 health centres and the government has allocated a USD36,000 budget to upgrade health centres in 132 islands next year.
