Ministry of Education contracted Amin Construction Private Limited to design and build the new Arabiyya School building and the annex building for Jamaluddin School. Amin Construction will be completing the construction of the two buildings within 420 days at a cost of USD11 million, which is allocated in this year's Public Sector Investment Programme (PSIP). The old Arabiyya School building has been demolished to clear the land plot for the project. The new building will consist of 40 classrooms, a multipurpose hall, and four elevators. The education ministry stated the building will have all the necessary facilities and equipment and is expected to be built by December 2023 and opened for the second term of 2024.

The annex building for Jamaluddin School will consist of 34 classrooms and two elevators. The construction of the building is expected to be completed by December 2023 to solve the space constraints and allow the school to switch to single-session classes. The ministry stated it will result in two more schools in the Greater Male' Region switching to single sessions for the second term of 2024.
