Maldives Police Service (MPS) has commenced its nationwide service inspection and roll call.
The service inspection and roll call were commenced as part of an initiative by the Commissioner of Police Mohamed Hameed, to inspect the turnout of officers and to identify the condition of operational equipment, technological resources, work environments and accommodation as well as uniforms and other items issued to police officers. The inspection and roll call are conducted by the Professional Standards Command of MPS.
The roll call was officially commenced in the Male’ area, with the roll call of officers at superintendent rank or above. The roll call, carried out at Iskandhar Building, was participated by Commissioner Mohamed Hameed and Deputy Commissioner Ali Rasheed.
The service inspection and roll call are to be carried out in Male’, Hulhumale’, Villimale’ and Thilafushi as well as islands in five police regions. The service inspection and roll call are carried out by special teams assigned for the task.
