Minister of Tourism Abdulla Mausoom has revealed that two new resorts will be opened in Lhaviyani Atoll this year. He made the remarks while responding to questions at the Parliament of the Maldives regarding the government’s work to develop tourism in the Maldives.
Responding to questions, Minister Mausoom said two resorts will be opened in Lhaviyani Atoll this year with a total capacity of 580 beds. The minister noted that Lhaviyani Atoll has untapped potential and that the new resorts will be opened in Dheruh Finolhu and Maabinhuraa.
Statistics from the Ministry of Tourism show that two resorts have been opened in the Maldives in the first quarter of this year.
