Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced it will soon begin direct flights to the Maldives. The national airline of Pakistan stated it is currently making the final preparations to begin the flights.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arshad Malik confirmed to Pakistani media outlets that PIA will begin direct flights to three countries and will also resume flights to Istanbul, Turkey, and Bangkok, Thailand.
PIA plans to begin flights to the Maldives, Australia, and Hong Kong and is holding discussions to resume flights to the UK, the US, and Europe.
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) recently cleared Pakistan in a safety audit conducted late last year. The audit will allow PIA to commence flights to Europe.
