President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Chinese President Xi Jinping
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has conveyed greetings of the Chinese New Year to the people of China.
In a tweet, President Solih wished all Chinese citizens a happy Chinese New Year. He wished for a new year that brings with it good health, warm friendships and happiness to all.
Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives Abdulla Shahid also posted a message conveying greetings of the Chinese New Year. In a video message, Minister Shahid wished all Chinese people good health and a prosperous year ahead.
The Chinese New Year is marked at the beginning of the traditional Chinese lunar year. This year is marked as the Year of the Tiger in the Chinese calendar.
