Ooredoo donates 10 tablets to children shelters

Ooredoo Maldives has donated 10 tablets to children under state care.

The tablets were handed over by the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Ooredoo Hussain Niyaz and were received by Minister of Gender, Family and Social Services Aishath Mohamed Didi.

She thanked Ooredoo for donating tablets and briefed on the assistance required by children under state care. The gender ministry revealed the tablets donated by Ooredoo Maldives will be used for educational purposes of students in state care.

A total of 194 children are currently under state care. The ministry is working on building shelters in the atolls to create a safe and secure environment for children under state care.

Childcare shelters are currently established in Dhidhdhoo, Haa Alifu Atoll, Fonadhoo, Shaviyani Atoll, and Eydhafushi, Baa Atoll.
