Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is set to make an official visit to the Maldives from January 28-30, 2022.
The Turkish foreign minister is visiting the Maldives on the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid. During this visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu will pay a courtesy call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Speaker of Parliament Mohamed Nasheed. Minister Çavuşoğlu will also hold official talks with his counterpart Minister Shahid and sign some key agreements between the Maldives and Turkey.
This visit will mark the first ever official visit to the Maldives by a Turkish foreign minister.
