Ministry of Tourism has revoked the licence of a vessel for violating the guidelines of PCR testing.
The tourism ministry stated the licence of a vessel operating in the tourism sector has been temporarily revoked for violating the guidelines on PCR testing. The ministry said the vessel has also been removed from the list of Maldives Immigration. However, the ministry did not disclose the type of the vessel or details of the violation.
The tourism ministry said the licence of the vessel will be reinstated after ensuring that it complies with the COVID-19 safety guidelines set by the ministry for tourist service providers. The ministry has urged all tourist facilities and service providers to follow the guidelines of Health Protection Agency (HPA) in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission.
