President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has attended the opening ceremony of the art exhibition, Unveiling Visions 2021. The exhibition is organised by the Maldivian Artist Community (MAC) and the National Centre for the Arts (NCA).
President Solih toured and viewed some of the paintings and artworks on display, during the visit to the National Art Gallery. He also presented awards to the five winners in the Most Vibrant Artists category of a competition held as part of the exhibition.
Additionally, MAC presented President Solih with a painting during the event. Also at the function, the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Heritage Yumna Maumoon inaugurated the virtual gallery of the National Art Gallery.
The Maldives Contemporary Art Exhibition, Unveiling Visions 2021, features the artworks of 67 artists and is the largest art exhibition held this year in the Maldives. The exhibition aims to bring together brilliant Maldivian artists to present their work and gain visibility.
The exhibition will be open at the National Art Gallery until December 14.
