Brand Ambassador of Border Miles visits the Maldives

The Brand Ambassador of the Maldives Border Miles programme, Jose Enrique has visited the Maldives for promotional purposes of the programme. This is his first trip to the Maldives since his appointment as the brand ambassador of the programme on September 2021.

Jose Enrique was warmly welcomed at Velana International Airport by the Executive Director at the Ministry of Tourism Thayyib Shaheem, Chief Immigration Officer Hawwa Liufa, General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) Hassan Areef and Head of Media & Public Relations at Maldives Immigration Mifthah Mohamed. On this trip, Jose Enrique will be working together with the Maldives Border Miles team to share his experience in the Maldives and share the benefits being a member of the Maldives Border Miles. Jose Enrique stated the Maldives is one of his favorite holiday destinations and described the country as ‘Paradise on Earth’.

Maldives Border Miles is the world’s first destination loyalty programme for tourists. Members of the programme will earn points during each visit to the Maldives, and the number of points is based on the duration of stay, visits to celebrate their special occasions, visits on local occasions, frequency of visits, and other aspects.

Rewards, services or benefits to the members are based on their tier status. They shall earn a certain amount of points to reach each tier - 500 points for the bronze tier Aida, 2,000 points for the silver tier Antara and 4,000 points for the gold tier Abaarana.

Membership to the programme is free and tourists can enroll as a member through the website of the programme. The grandest offer to the members is the VIP service offered to Abaarana members.

Additionally, Maldives Border Miles announced a lucky-draw on World Tourism Day 2021, and tourists who registers to the program until December 31, 2021 will stand a chance to win a holiday worth USD 7,000 in the Maldives.
