The national airline, Maldivian, and Villa College have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate industrial training for students undertaking the Certificate III course in Reservation and Ticketing.
The MoU for industrial training was signed by the Rector of Villa College Dr. Ahmed Anwar and the Deputy Managing Director of Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) Aishath Jennifer. Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rector Dr. Anwar said it was an honour for Villa College to sign the MoU with the national airline, noting this was an important feat for the college’s courses in the aviation sector.
Meanwhile, Deputy Managing Director of IASL Aishath Jennifer said the aim of facilitating industrial training for Villa College students is to build a well-trained, capable generation of students in the aviation sector and to provide good exposure for students in the field. She noted the students undertaking industrial training at the national airline will have better opportunities to seek employment at the company.
