Addu Emergency Operation Centre (AEOC) has lifted the curfew imposed in all wards of Addu City, except Hithadhoo.
AEOC said restrictive measures imposed in Addu are being eased following the decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases. As such, AEOC said curfew has been lifted in all wards except Hithadhoo.
AEOC stated cafes and restaurants in all wards are still required to provide delivery services only, despite the curfew being lifted. Furthermore, shops are also not permitted to bring customers inside after 1800hrs.
Meanwhile in Hithadhoo, the curfew which runs from 1600hrs until 0400hrs has been maintained. However, the lockdown imposed in Hithadhoo has been lifted, and therefore individuals are allowed to go out without a household permit during non-curfew hours.
Addu currently has 132 active COVID-19 cases, of which 128 cases are from Hithadhoo. The remaining four cases are from Maradhoo.
