President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has departed on an unofficial trip to Dubai, UAE.
The president is travelling to Dubai to attend the burial of his sibling Ahmed Mohamed Solih. Ahmed Mohamed Solih passed away at the age of 55 while undergoing treatment following a heart attack.
The president has 12 siblings, including Ahmed Mohamed Solih. Some of his family members are accompanying him during the trip to Dubai.
The president is scheduled to arrive back in the Maldives on June 23.
