The national carrier, Maldivian, has decided to resume operations to Dhaka, Bangladesh after a brief suspension.
On April 22, Island Aviation Services Limited (IASL) suspended all flights to Dhaka due to measures imposed by the Government of Bangladesh to curb the spread of COVID-19. Maldivian revealed all flights to Dhaka will resume on May 5, with three weekly flights to the destination.
Dhaka is among one of the destinations Maldivian initially commenced international flights to after the reopening of the Maldivian borders in July 2020. Maldivian resumed operations to Dhaka during August last year.
